MEMBERSHIP


The membership of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. includes women with baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees.  Its membership includes women in all professions such as medicine, law, education, dentistry, engineering, fine arts, business, and many other fields of higher learning.  The sorority also extends its membership to outstanding personalities by inviting them to become honorary members.

The Michigan State Organization of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. seeks women of phenomenal quality who demonstrate the sorority’s founding ideals of Scholarship, Service, Finer Womanhood, and Sisterly Love to become members of this great sisterhood. To be eligible for membership you must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Graduate member), or be matriculating at a 4-year college or university with a G.P.A. of at least 2.5 (Undergraduate member).

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc strictly prohibits any form of hazing in the membership development and intake process.  The process also eliminates pledging as a requirement for membership.  As such, there are no “lines”, “pledges”, “pledging”, or “pre-pledging” activities.  We are committed to upholding the dignity and self-respect of all persons seeking membership, and encourage our members to participate in activities which promote high scholastic achievement, sisterhood, loyalty, and leadership.
